The Rebuild Process Begins
The next week is going to see me rebuilding all of my PC-style devices to a common Windows Vista + Office 2007. I've started the process today on my Fujitsu Tablet PC (T4210) and so far the results have been encouraging. The following things work without any problems whatsoever:
- Installation on SATA drive (tick).
- Aero enabled user interface (tick).
- SD card reader functions (tick).
- Audio works (tick).
- Stylus works (tick).
That is a lot of success, but a few things aren't working for a Tablet perspective just yet these are:
- Screen rotation via Tablet PC buttons is not working (cross).
- Finger print reader doesn't seem to be working (cross).
- Scroll button on the track pad is not working (cross).
Some other general stuff needs to be sorted out:
- Bluetooth doesn't seem to be working (cross).
With the bluetooth I think that I will need to install some special Toshiba software for some reason. Seems to be a common problem with any device that has a Toshiba Bluetooth stack.
