Vista Pre-RC1
Now that TechEd is over, things are pretty quiet over here, so I thought I'd post about my Vista Pre-RC1 experiences.
I have installed Vista Pre-RC1 release and it is much improved over the previous Beta2 builds. IMO, you could not use the beta2 builds for daily work, unless you were prepared for some pain and time wasting (things wouldn't work sometimes, slow response etc) which is understandable for a beta release but the pre RC1 release is leaps and bounds ahead of that.
I can happily use this release to perform a lot of my daily work (which is what I'll be doing until RTM I think) and can do things like use Bluetooth to connect to my 3G device and browse the net, whereas I had many issues on the beta builds.
Performance is also significantly increased, as is general stability. All in all I am pretty impressed with the pre-RC1 build and things look good for the final release.
