Tech.Ed OZ 2006 - Day 0 + 1
OK so it's day 2 now and time to quickly reflect on the last day and a bit of Tech.Ed Oz 2006. The welcome experience was sweet and the expo hall this year is big and spread out, lots of room to move which is great. I particularly like the Digital Lifestyle corner of the hall with its uber XBOX 360 rigs and Media Center setups, very nice.
The first day of sessions was good with an interesting keynote from an anthropologist who works for Microsoft. She told us a out how she studies families everyday behavior and interactions with technology so that MS can use that information to make better software products. Sweet! Best session was probably the ARC203 Architecting Identity talking about Windows CardSpace.
** I just suffered another drive-by 'Ed-ing' from a sharp eyed attendee. This involves somebody I don't know walking past me while pointing their finger at me and saying 'Ed!'. **
The Ask The Experts evening seemed to be quite popular and I got to sit down and nut out a scenario with an industry expert which was great, something I don't get to do at work being the only developer there.
Time to go find coffee and check out my next session. I'll post some photos later too.
