Todays Topic: Top 3 Reasons I attend Tech Ed.

1. The Major Geek Out. There's so much cool stuff to go and learn and find out about. Several days of non-stop brain pumping. I love it. Although, sometimes it's a bit hard to remember it all, but that's what blogs are for.
2. People. Being stuck in Canberra is great - I really love living here. But most of the geeks I talk to online aren't anywhere near me. Events like TechEd (which is the biggest geek magnet each year) is a chance to catch up with many old friends and make many new ones too.
3. Free Swag. Nothing beats a room full of vendor stands with a whole lot of pens and notepads and toys to give away. I generally need a second suitcase to hold it all in.
