InfoCard gains Verisign Momentum
Todd Bishop of seattlepi.com and Ryan Naraine of eWeek.com among others, have reported on news from the RSA Conference about Verisign backing the Microsoft's InfoCard project. This backing comes in the form of a plan people use InfoCard to log into Web sites that are part of its VeriSign Identity Protection Network. Some of the initial web sites that are on this list are eBay, PayPal and Yahoo! Hopefully InfoCard will become the federated identity system of choice unlike MS Passport.
